Here’s how to make your very own mouth-watering marijuana pumpkin pie. (Make sure you have your cannabutter already prepared!)
- 350g pie crust (prepare in advance or buy pie crust from the store)
- 2 large eggs
- 1lb 10oz pumpkin, peeled and cut into chunks
- All-purpose flour, for dusting
- 5oz caster sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon fresh nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons cannabutter, melted
- 175ml milk
- 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar
- 22cm tart tin with loose bottom
- Add the pumpkin to a large saucepan, cover it with water, then bring it to a boil. Add a lid to the saucepan and simmer for 15 mins until the pumpkin chunks are tender. Then, drain it and allow it to cool, setting aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350˚F.
- Lightly flour your work surface with as much as you need, then roll out the pastry. Then, press it into the pie tin. Chill the base in the fridge for 15 minutes, then line it with parchment paper and baking beans, if you have them. Bake the pie crust for 15 minutes, then take away the paper (and beans) and bake again for 10 mins until the pastry is golden and biscuity.
