Healist Naturals Review

Healist Naturals CBD is one of those brands that gives the greater CBD industry a good name. They source all of their products from organic, sustainably-grown hemp, and place just as much emphasis on transparency and consumer education as they do product quality.

In a market that’s becoming increasingly over-saturated with poor quality, run-of-the-mill products, Healist truly does stand out. We tried three of their products – keep reading below for the full Healist Naturals review.

What Products Did We Review?

Unlike a lot of brands nowadays, Healist doesn’t offer a ton of products. But this isn’t a bad thing. I mean let’s be realistic – why do you take CBD? Because it tastes good? Because it’s fun? Or because it’s the hip thing to do?

Maybe. But more importantly, you take CBD because (at least assumingly) you’re after its therapeutic benefits. If a CBD oil or other CBD product helps with your sleep problems, or helps you deal with your pain, anxiety, or discomfort, then you likely couldn’t care less about how it tastes, or whether it comes in a dozen different flavor options.

This is why we like Healist Naturals. They focus on singular product quality. They’re not interested in all the supplementary nonsense and marketing gimmicks that some CBD companies employ.

Of course, that’s not to say that Healist products taste bad. Not at all. And they actually do offer a decent, highly-organized product lineup with plenty of selection for a variety of uses. We tried the Healist Naturals ‘Calm’ CBD Oil Drops (Double Strength), the ‘Sleep’ CBD Oil Drops (Double Strength), and the 20mg Calm Chews.

The brand does offer more products than this, but we’ll get to those later in the article. First, let’s get into the Healist CBD review and discuss our opinion on the specific products that we did try.

Healist CBD: Products & Review

The first thing we’ll mention is that Healist CBD products are very obviously authentic and unique to the brand’s own formula. We have reviewed so many CBD products in the past, and to be quite honest, it seems like a lot (if not most) of them are the same exact product just with a different label slapped on it.

There was a tangible difference when we did this Healist Naturals review. Both their CBD Drops and their CBD Chews/Gummies were unique to the Healist label – we’d never tried anything like them before. And that was a good thing.

Calm Drops (Double Strength)

Healist Naturals CBD Oils come in four different formulations: Calm, Sleep, Relief, and Well-Being. They also come in two different milligram amounts (600mg/mL, 1,200mg/mL (Double Strength), and two flavors (Peppermint and Citrus). We tried the Calm Drops in the Double Strength formula.

Taste-wise, they were actually really really good. I know we talked earlier about the non-importance of things like taste; but, if a product works well and offers beneficial effects, a good taste is a nice supplementary benefit.

In terms of effects, these drops (the ‘Calm’ formula) didn’t really produce the sleep-inducing effects of the other formula we tried. In fact, they seemed to encourage focus and a subtle kind of mental clarity. We wouldn’t go so far as to say the drops were energizing, but they definitely helped to improve focus and relaxation during long hours behind the computer.

In terms of ingredients, Healist CBD Oils vary as far as the essential oils they use depending on the formulation (Sleep, Calm, Relief, or Well-Being). The Calm Drops include organic citrus essential oil, organic lemon essential oil, organic pink grapefruit essential oil, and stevia leaf extract.

The combination of terpenes in these essential oils combined with the CBD hemp extract, hemp terpenes, and flavonoids make for a unique formulation that is, to be quite honest, amazing. We would recommend these drops for daytime use if you’re looking for calm or relaxation, but don’t want to feel overly tired or lethargic.

Sleep Drops (Double Strength)

It was pretty surprising how different the effects of the Sleep Drops were compared to the Calm Drops. I don’t really want to use the word ‘sedating,’ but these drops definitely will make you feel sleepy. The label says to take them about 15 to 20 minutes before you go to bed, and I’d say that’s pretty accurate. Maybe even 30 to 45 minutes prior.

The main reason why these offer such a noticeable difference in terms of effects compared to the Calm Drops is that the Sleep Drops contain elevated levels of CBN (1.5mg), which is actually unique to Healist products. Another reason why the brand’s line of products really stood out to our review team.

The Sleep Drops have a unique way of making you sleepy, without totally knocking you out. For example, they’re not like a Nyquil or something similar where you take it and an hour later you’re just wiped out. The sensation is more subtle, but no less effective (at least in our opinion).

We reviewed the Double Strength formula, which contains 40mg of CBD in a single 1mL serving. There are 30mL in the entire bottle, so that equates to a grand total 1,200mg CBD content.

Remember, however, that there are a lot more ingredients here than just the CBD oil. The Sleep Drops formula (which comes in Peppermint flavor) consists of organic peppermint essential oil, lavender essential oil, Roman chamomile essential oil, and lemon balm essential oil.

The peppermint taste is pretty robust, and we really, really enjoyed it. The oil as a whole has a very good amalgamation of flavors. And most importantly, the flavor profile felt completely authentic and natural – not like so many of these synthetic, artificially-flavored CBD oils we’ve tried in the past.

Calm Chews

The Calm Chews from Healist are another perfect example of a fully authentic CBD product. Whereas many CBD gummies out there on the market seem to emphasize taste above all else, these seem to actually be made with balance and wellness as a top priority.

What do we mean by this? Well, the chews are infused with Ashwagandha (Indian ginseng), L-theanine, added terpenes, to start with. They’re also vegan and contain a host of beneficial phytocompounds that few CBD gummies can compare to. Again, it’s clear here that Healist has made an effort here to emphasize quality ingredients aside from just a cut-and-dry CBD content.

As far as taste and effects, these gummies were probably not the best tasting we’ve ever had. They weren’t in any way bad tasting, but some of the CBD gummies out there from different brands are just delicious – like regular candy. Again, however, we actually see this as a positive. Personally we don’t want to be eating candy when we’re consuming CBD – we want to eat real, natural, quality ingredients.

Effects-wise, these didn’t seem to be as potent as the Calm Drops. That does make sense, however, considering the gummies have 20mg of CBD per serving (two gummies) while the Drops have 40mg/serving.

All in all, we’d recommend the Drops for either daytime or evening use. They definitely do provide a nice, calming effect, but it’s a bit more subtle than the CBD oils. If you’re looking for a great night’s sleep, they probably would work incredibly well if taken along with a single dose of the 40mg Sleep Drops.

If these products are made with the same attention to quality and ingredients as the CBD Drops and Chews (and we have no reason to think or assume that they’re not), we would say that any of them would be well worth the investment.

There aren’t too many brands that sell CBD patches specifically. So, if you’re looking for a highly convenient product that delivers sustained CBD over longer periods of time, this would definitely be an option that’s worth looking into.

All things considered, there’s little doubt that Healist Naturals is one of the highest-quality CBD brands currently on the market. The products we tried were not only affordable and practical, but they (most importantly) worked well for their indicated purposes.
