Trusted Mushrooms: The Complete 2023 Review (Denver’s Mushroom Gummies)

I took my time writing this Trusted Mushrooms review because mushrooms are pretty new to me, and I wanted to truly experience the effects.

I understand the basics of mushroom extract (Lion’s Mane for energy, Reishi for sleep and relaxation, etc), but I’ve never really spent the time to take these extracts consistently to see what kind of effect they have on me.

I tried four different “Denver’s” mushroom gummies products from Trusted Mushrooms over about a month, and the following review recounts my experience to help readers decide whether it’s worth spending money on these gummies.

Trusted Mushrooms Review: About the Brand

I’m still attempting to understand what the “Denver’s” label is on the package of these mushroom gummies. Trusted Mushrooms is the main brand, but the label packaging says “Denver’s.” The Trusted Mushrooms website says Denver’s is a “Trusted Mushrooms brand.” I guess the Denver’s label is just to distinguish their mushroom gummies from other products?

I don’t know. And anyway, it’s not super important.

What is important is that this brand seems legit, and browsing through their website, it’s clear they know their stuff in mushroom science.

Although I’ve never taken mushroom extracts consistently, I thought I knew a fair amount about them. It turns out my wealth of knowledge was just scratching the surface regarding what these powerful mushroom extracts can do and how they’re made.

Oddly, Trusted Mushrooms is a Texas-based company. Given the liberal drug laws in western states such as Oregon, Washington, and California, you’d think a company like this would come from that part of the country.

Not so.

There’s a lot of exciting new research on the medicinal values of mushrooms (including the therapeutic use of beta-glucans), and it’s clear Trusted Mushrooms wants to be one of the first companies to start manufacturing and marketing these products on a wide scale.

And that’s exactly what the company is all about – they’re dedicated to the science of mushroom extracts, and they’re currently delivering safe, reliable mushroom extract gummies made right here in the USA. Suppose you’re looking to delve into the world of therapeutic or even legal psychedelic mushrooms. In that case, there isn’t a better or safer company (in my opinion) than Trusted Mushrooms.

The Products I Tested

My initial goal with this Denver’s Mushroom Gummies review was to test all of the products on the Trusted Mushrooms website.

And guess what? I succeeded! It wasn’t that hard, considering they only currently have four products: Amanita Gummies, Lion’s Mane Gummies, Cordyceps Gummies, and Reishi Gummies.

The following review recounts my experience.

Denver’s Amanita Mushroom Gummies (500mg)

The Amanita Muscaria Gummies by Denver’s are described as “America’s First Amanita Muscaria Gummy.” The gummy contains 500mg of amanita mushroom extract, including the active ingredient of muscimol.

I won’t go into the science of what these compounds do or how they work in the body. There is tons of that information on the brand’s website or on WayofLeaf. This review is dedicated to describing my experience after using these mushrooms.

(Side note: amanita mushrooms are not the same as psilocybin or “magic” mushrooms. They can potentially have psychedelic properties but are not nearly as pronounced or powerful as psilocybin. You most likely will not experience a psychedelic “trip” when taking a single dose of these gummies).

The main thing I experienced when taking one of these amanita mushroom gummies was serene relaxation. I wouldn’t necessarily say I “tripped,” but the relaxation was powerful. I would describe it as a combination between a mild mushroom trip and a cannabis high. My perception of time got a little skewed, and I didn’t have a care in the world.

The effects also produced a feeling of meaning, truth, and purpose consistent with a mushroom trip. It was nearly as powerful as a psilocybin experience, but I would say it was the same general type of feeling. I didn’t experience any visuals or hallucinations, but this was following the dosage guidelines of one gummy.

Denver’s Lion’s Mane Mushroom Gummies

In addition to 500mg of Lion’s Mane extract, these gummies include 1mg of vitamin B-12 and 25mg of Ginseng. I took two servings a day of these gummies for a week straight, and I noticed an increase in energy, a more positive attitude, and an overall mood boost.

Lion’s Mane mushrooms are scientifically purported to enhance cognitive function, lower stress, and even boost immunity. I can’t speak for the ability to boost immunity, but based on my experience, I will say these improved my mental sharpness (cognitive function) and decreased day-to-day stress.

Lion’s Mane is a nootropic fungi, meaning it has traditional therapeutic uses and health benefits. Along with cognitive enhancement, stress reduction, and boosted immunity, research has even suggested Lion’s Mane mushrooms may have neurodegenerative properties that can aid in nerve recovery.

Denver’s Cordyceps Mushroom Gummies

These mushrooms are a powerful and potent blend of 500mg of cordyceps extract, 25mg of Ginko Biloba, 25mg of ginseng, and 10mg of L-Arginine. Both Ginseng and ginkgo biloba are widely known to help boost energy levels, while L-Arginine (an amino acid) is known to help with muscle growth, vitality, and libido.

Like Lion’s Mane, I took these gummies twice a day for a week (a different week than the Lion’s Mane so as not to cancel out effects), and the main thing I observed was a noticeable energy boost. I work out in the gym lifting weights three days a week, and I do cardio the other four days of the week, and 100% for sure these Cordyceps mushroom gummies helped boost my energy and up my performance in the gym and out on the beach running.

Cordyceps is a truly fascinating mushroom that has been used literally for thousands of years in Eastern medicine, particularly in Tibet and China. One of the key traditional uses of cordyceps was as an energy and stamina booster, but the mushroom is also known to help relieve stress, enhance mental function, and boost sexual performance (something that I unfortunately can’t comment on over the week I was taking these).

Denver’s Reishi Mushroom Gummies

Fortunately, I rarely need help getting to sleep, but if you’re one of the countless people that struggles with consistent sleep. Trusted Mushrooms Reishi Mushroom Gummies are something you’ve got to try. I only took them three days in a row, and within 30 minutes of taking a single gummy, I was knocked out and ready for a deep, restful night’s sleep.

The powerful sleep-promoting effects of these gummies are certainly due in part to the 500mg of reishi extract, but the gummies also contain 25mg of Kava and 10mg of 5-HTP – both of which are known for their calming and stress-relieving properties. 5-HTP is actually a precursor to serotonin, meaning it helps tremendously in terms of boosting mood. Again, if one of your main goals is to reduce stress and improve sleep, you’ve got to try these gummies.

Where to Buy Denver’s Mushroom Gummies Online

If you’re interested in trying these, the best (and really the only) place to buy them is online through the official Trusted Mushrooms website. The website is clear, concise, and simple to navigate, and there is loads of good information that goes into more detail regarding each of the four different types of mushroom gummies on offer. It’s also a good idea to read other customer reviews on the product pages, as this will give you additional insight into the effects you can expect to experience.

Trusted Mushrooms Review: Final Thoughts on Denver’s Mushroom Gummies

All in all, I would definitely recommend Trusted Mushrooms brand of mushroom gummies. I think the gummies themselves are made of high quality, and the effects are definitely noticeable enough to warrant trying them. That is, as long as you go into it, understanding these are not the same thing as psilocybin or magic mushrooms.

This is an industry that will experience rapid evolution and progress in the coming years, and we’re likely to see quick transformations and an influx of competition as we did in the early stages of the CBD market back around 2015. Hopefully, Trusted Mushrooms sticks around to experience the growth of the industry, as it’s clear this is a brand that understands the science behind its products, and cares about staying true to the mushroom lifestyle.
