The CBD industry was already growing rapidly, but once President Trump signed the Farm Bill into law in December 2018, the market received an immense boost. One provision in the Farm Bill states that it is now legal to grow industrial hemp in the United States. Since CBD comes from hemp, the Fed has effectively (although not legally) given Americans the ‘go-ahead’ to use cannabidiol.

There is, of course, a lot of research to perform, but at present, studies have shown that CBD could potentially treat medical issues such as anxiety, depression, Alzheimer’s, chronic pain, and more. The problem the average consumer has is that the CBD industry is essentially unregulated, which means finding high-quality CBD brands is not as easy as you would hope.

This is where we come in. One of our goals is to educate readers on the CBD companies to trust, and those to avoid. Today, we look at Terra Vida CBD.

Who is Terra Vida CBD?

You will find plenty of mentions of Terra Vida online but get little or no information about the company on the official website. If you go to the Contact page, you can see that the brand is based in Denver, Colorado. Terra Vida also has a Twitter account but with minimal followers.

Although the brand was apparently formed in 2018, it has seemingly made great strides in the industry to date. Terra Vida has been mentioned in publications such as The Jerusalem Post, BuzzFeed, BizCommunity, and Entrepreneur.

I dug a little deeper, and according to The Jerusalem Post, Terra Vida was founded by Edmon Mamane. It uses CO2 extraction to take CBD from industrial hemp, and there are no pesticides involved in the creation of its CBD products. Mamane also featured in another issue of the same publication where he said that producing CBD that’s non-GMO certified is of paramount importance to the industry.

He also railed against brands that sold cheap, low-quality CBD. He pointed out that people living with chronic conditions will re-order the same CBD products for months, or even years if they are deriving benefits from them. He believes there is a problem with low-quality products flooding the market. In any case, let’s see if Terra Vida practices what its owner preaches.

Review of Terra Vida CBD Consumables

The term ‘consumables’ in this context relates to CBD drops, softgels, capsules, and gummies. To be clear, all of Terra Vida’s CBD products contain minimal levels of THC (less than 0.3%), but the company also offers ‘Zero THC’ 1000mg CBD Drops for $72. Here is a list of the other ‘consumables’ on the site:

CBD Drops

  • 250mg: $29
  • 500mg: $44
  • 1000mg: $76
  • 2500mg: $146.50
  • 2500mg Zero THC: $139
  • 5000mg: $249
  • 5000mg Zero THC: $229

CBD Softgels

terra vida cbd softgels products

  • 30 x 30mg Softgels: $78
  • 30 x 30mg Softgels Zero THC: $78

CBD Gummies (Each one contains 20mg of CBD)

  • 5 Pack: $16
  • 10 Pack: $28
  • 30 Pack: $62
  • 50 Pack: $102

You can also buy 30 x 25mg CBD capsules for $68.

Mamane may be against cheap CBD, but he has managed to create a product line with a very reasonable price point. The CBD Drops also contain CBC and CBN, along with other cannabinoids and terpenes naturally found in hemp. All of the CBD Drop bottles contain 30ml of liquid so if you go for the strongest option; you get almost 167mg of CBD per ml!

As is always the case with CBD drops, place them beneath the tongue, hold the liquid there for up to 90 seconds, and swallow. Swallowing it in this manner speeds up absorption, but you can also add it to drinks or food if you don’t like the natural plant taste.

The softgels and capsules are effectively the same things. You get 30mg of CBD in each unit, and it is a fast and convenient way to get your daily dose of CBD.

The CBD gummies have a fruity and delicious taste. Indeed, they taste so good that you might be tempted to have more than one. At 20mg per gummy, you get enough to treat anxiety, but you may need several to treat severe conditions.

Review of Terra Vida CBD Skincare

terra vida cbd skincare

This is unquestionably one of the most detailed CBD skincare ranges I have seen to date. There is a total of 11 products including a CBD Day Skin Reviver Cream for $33.50, a CBD Face Toner for $30, and a CBD Eye Cream for $35.50.

The Eye Cream has proven to be a big hit so far. Each tub contains around half an ounce of cream and should be used at night and in the morning. For ladies, this Eye Cream is a real life-saver in the morning before they apply any makeup. The cream is light, absorbs very quickly, and offers you a mini energy boost. If you suffer from puffiness beneath the eyes, this cream could help, and it might even smooth out any fine lines you have.

The Terra Vida CBD Radiance Cream with Collagen & Retinol costs $35 for a half-ounce tub. You can use it several times a day, and it does a good job of keeping adult acne under control. It is an all-in-one cream that’s a combo of CBD, collagen, and retinol. Users report feeling as if their skin is tighter when they wake up.

If you don’t want to get too fancy, you can always try the combination of CBD Face Toner ($30 for 4-ounces) and CBD Face Cleanser ($33.50 for 4-ounces). You may feel refreshed after using both products, and your skin should feel cleansed and nourished. Regardless of the skincare product you purchase, make sure you use it at least twice a day, in the morning and at night, to get the best results.

Review of Terra Vida CBD Wellness & Spa Products

At its heart, Terra Vida is a brand that believes in holistic treatment. Rather than being a company dedicated to the sale of CBD products, it includes CBD in its lengthy list of alternative treatments. Terra Vida has a huge range once again. Its Wellness section includes CBD Slim Down Oral Spray, CBD Relief Roll-on Gel, and CBD Relief Salve.

All of these products are topicals, which means you rub cream or spray the contents of the bottle on to your skin. Each product has a specific use. For example, the CBD Slim-Down Oral Spray ($27.50 for 8ml) is designed to promote fat loss by controlling your appetite and increasing your metabolism within minutes.

The Spa range includes more products such as CBD Moisturizing Conditioner, CBD Bubble Bath, and CBD Nourishing Shampoo. If you use the CBD Bubble Bath ($36 for an 8-ounce tub containing 50mg of CBD), the idea is to soak in a bath and allow the CBD to be gradually absorbed into the body.

There is also a Pets section which includes the following:

  • CBD Pet Oral Drops (250mg): $41
  • CBD Pet Stress-Free Oral Spray: $27.50
  • CBD Chew Treats for Pets 30 x 5mg Treats: $46
  • CBD Pet Conditioning Shampoo: $30

Although research is ongoing, it seems as if it is safe to give your pet CBD. Just make sure you do so at a much lower concentration than you would for a human being. The CBD Chew Treats are the pick of the litter here. Just remember that 5mg of CBD is a lot for a dog (even if a large amount is lost before it reaches the bloodstream) so start off with half or even a quarter of a treat to see how your dog reacts.

Where Can I Purchase Terra Vida CBD Products?

Make your way to the official Terra Vida CBD website and check out the enormous range of products by clicking on ‘Shop’ on the top right-hand corner of the page. Once you place your order, it takes 2-4 business days for it to be processed. Terra Vida is trying to become a global behemoth and ships to dozens of countries around the world, from Belize to the UK.

U.S. orders typically take 2-4 business days after processing to arrive. Naturally, it will take much longer if you live abroad. Incidentally, all import, duty, and general taxes and fees are passed on to the consumer.

If you receive damaged goods, you must make your claim within 72 hours of receiving the package. You can also get your money back by requesting a refund within 30 days of the purchase price.

Final Thoughts on Terra Vida CBD

It might be a relatively new kid on the block, but Terra Vida CBD has wasted no time laying down a strong marker in the industry. The brand has been featured in numerous publications, and its founder is keen to spread the word about his company, and CBD’s ability to treat certain conditions.

You won’t find many CBD companies with a larger range, and the site is designed in a way that makes it easy to find what you’re looking for. The products are of decent quality, there is something for everyone, and the price point is not too shabby. Overall, Terra Vida is definitely worth a second look.
