Bluebird Botanicals Complete Review

In many ways, it seems as if the world is being turned upside down, especially when it comes to the cannabis plant. We have now reached a situation where two-thirds of American states have legalized medicinal marijuana. Moreover, the 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp throughout the country.

Hemp does not contain the psychoactive compound, THC. Instead, it is loaded with cannabidiol, better known as CBD, which purportedly offers ‘healing without the high.’

Hundreds of companies have formed on the back of growth in the CBD industry. Many of them sell mediocre or low-quality CBD although there is also an increasing number of reputable brands. In this article, we review Bluebird Botanicals to see if it fits into the latter category.

Who Are Bluebird Botanicals?

The company was formed by Brandon J. Beatty in 2012 and is based in Colorado. It received the #1 Hemp CBD Company award at the Cannabis Awards in 2016 and had forged a reputation as one of the best CBD firms in the United States. The firm is obsessed with quality control and has one of the industry’s leading systems with a transparent batch database. Customers know they are getting organic hemp in every product.

All of Bluebird Botanicals’ ingestible and vape products are analyzed by third-party laboratories for pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, mold, microbial content, and heavy metals. Seeing these reports should give customers peace of mind. Bluebird breeds its hemp for high cannabinoid and terpene content and has partnerships with Colorado farmers who grow organic hemp.

The flowers are put through CO2 or environmentally-friendly alcohol systems to extract the cannabinoids and terpenes. Every batch of Bluebird products is tested using a third-party lab before being delivered to customers. It is also nice to see a company with a social conscience.

Bluebird Botanicals has numerous assistance programs including one for veterans, one for low-income families, and another for individuals with long-term disabilities.

It all sounds great so far, but it is now time for the moment of truth.

Review of Bluebird Botanicals CBD Oil

There is also a special ‘concentrated’ CBD oil, but we went for the ‘normal’ version first. There are three types of Hemp Extract Oil to choose from:

  • Classic: 250mg of cannabinoids per ounce ($27.95 for a 1oz bottle)
  • Complete: 250mg of raw and heated cannabinoids per ounce ($32.95 for a 1oz bottle)
  • Signature: 250mg of cannabinoids per ounce, contains black seed oil and frankincense ($32.95 per bottle)

We elected to try the Classic variety which came in five sizes:

  • 1/3oz: $12.95
  • 1oz: $27.95
  • 2oz: $49.95
  • 4oz: $79.95
  • 8oz: $139.95

The 1/3oz is a nice ‘starter’ bottle and an ideal way to dip your toe into CBD waters for less than $10. We wish more companies offered such a diminutive sized bottle. In any case, we tried the 1oz bottle which contained an estimated 250mg of cannabinoids. It is a full-spectrum hemp extract which means there are over 80 phytocannabinoids in each serving. Terpenes such as beta-carotene are also included in the unique formula.

We followed the company’s instructions which involved using 1-5 x 0.5ml servings per day. A 0.5ml serving consists of 15 drops and includes 4.2mg of full-spectrum cannabinoids. We were delighted to see that Bluebird included links to third-party testing of each batch, a rarity amongst CBD sellers.

The oil itself had that satisfying plant taste. It is a little bitter, and you may need a glass of water to hand, but it goes down smoothly enough. To improve bioavailability, make sure you place the drops beneath your tongue and hold for at least 30 seconds before swallowing. We felt a sense of relaxation about half an hour after the first dose.

Concentrated CBD Oil

We did not try the Concentrated CBD oil, but it is worth considering if you need a stronger dose than what the company’s Hemp CBD Oil range offers. Once again, it comes in Classic, Complete, and Signature form. It is six times stronger than the other range with 1,500mg of cannabinoids per fluid ounce. The Classic costs $119.95 for an ounce, while the other two options are $129.95 per ounce apiece.

Once again, there are five sizes for each collection, ranging from 1/3oz to 8oz. The largest Signature and Complete option cost a whopping $649.95 so make sure you try a smaller bottle first! Each 0.5ml serving of the Concentrated oil contains an impressive 25mg of cannabinoids. Even two servings a day should be enough for most users.

Review of Bluebird Botanicals CBD Isolate

The other product we had the chance to review was the firm’s CBD isolate. Bluebird guarantees a minimum of 96% CBD in crystalline form, and a batch could contain up to 99.9%. It is derived from industrial hemp, and as always, the isolate is tested for pesticides, solvents, heavy metals, and potency. It is a collection of white crystals with no discernible taste or aroma.

Bluebird also has Certificates of Analysis (COA) which you can view on the website. The isolate comes in five sizes:

  • 1 gram: $24.95
  • 5 grams: $99.95
  • 25 grams: $399.95
  • 100 grams: $1000
  • 250 grams: $2250

You can use the isolate in several ways. If you have a vaporizer, it melts easily and offers a smooth and satisfying vaping experience. This is what we did, and the effects were noticeable within a matter of minutes. If you have any minor niggles, they will probably feel a lot less painful. It certainly relaxed us, and if you can afford it, the 25-gram option is great value for money.

For users with VERY deep pockets, you can avail of Bluebirds’ Bulk CBD Isolate. It is the same quality isolate but is much cheaper per gram. The downside? You need to purchase an enormous quantity:

  • 100 grams: $800
  • 250 grams: $1100
  • 500 grams: $2200
  • 1 kilogram: $4200

We can see the above being a nice business opportunity if you can afford to pay that much money. Purchasing CBD isolate at $8 a gram should guarantee a significant profit if you have a license to sell CBD yourself (and have the packaging and distribution contacts). Otherwise, it is hard to see an individual paying so much for one order.

Where Can I Purchase Bluebird Botanicals CBD Products?

You need to visit the official website, and there you will be greeted with an array of options. The company sells other CBD products that we have not covered in this review. For example, Bluebird CBD capsules starting from $27.95. There are also CBD lotions and a range of CBD pet products.

Final Thoughts on Bluebird Botanicals

We were delighted with the quality of the CBD oil from Bluebird Botanicals. It smells, tastes, and more importantly, acts like the real thing. If you are in any doubt as to the quality of the company’s CBD products, check out its long list of third-party lab reports.

Bluebird sets the standard that other CBD sellers must follow. If a company can’t back up its claims, it isn’t worth investing in. Bluebird Botanicals, on the other hand, is a CBD seller you can trust.

Final Verdict – 9/10
