Dr. Eric Exelbert
Dr. Eric is a pediatric intensivist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, FL. Dr. Exelbert also runs ExAlt Med, which is a clinic that helps patients of all ages who haven’t had any success using traditional treatment options. he has a special interest in pediatric patients but is able to help patients of any age. He sees patients of all ages and all diagnoses, and also has a keen interest in complex pediatric and adult cases. Very often, these complex cases require a non-traditional treatment approach, which might include using medical cannabis when other methods have been found to be ineffective.
As an Intensive Care Physician, Dr. Exelbert sees thousands of patients every year. Through his handling of such a wide scope of diagnosis, he has cultivated an extensive experience base which has made him better equipped to make critical care decisions for unique patient cases.
Dr. Hart was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland and from early beginnings, he participated in various athletic activities, including competitive ice hockey. At age 14, he was introduced to weight training and quickly developed a passion for not only the sport but also an affinity for helping people to feel better about themselves through the promotion of health and well-being.
He is particularly passionate and vocal about the use of cannabis in medicine, and this advocacy has made him a recognized speaker on the topic. He has spoken on platforms like CBC National Radio, CTV News, Rodgers TV, and the Toronto Star, and has even attended the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids in Toronto.
In February 2018 Dr. Hart released a book titled “Friendly Fire: Why Vets Are Lighting Up and Ditching Pills to Treat PTSD,” with Jeremy Kossen as his co-author. He has also co-authored two free books which are available to download on his website.
Nicole is somewhat of a cannabis “newbie” having only started to learn all about it’s incredible health benefits only a few years ago. But now she’s one of the biggest advocates of cannabis. Nicole has over ten years of experience in the health sector, and now dedicates much of her time to sharing her knowledge and expertise with us here at WayOfLeaf.
She has been working at WayOfLeaf for the past few years and devotes herself to educating people about the therapeutic effects of using cannabis. Kayla has one daughter, and her dream is for her to grow up in a world where she has free and unlimited access to the cannabis plant and its associated benefits.
Don Ballou is the CEO of the Nutrahemp corporation, which is the umbrella company of the well-known CBD Essence. His lifelong study of Health & Nutrition and fitness evolved into the creation of his line of nutraceutical supplements & cannabis edibles, which can be found on the CBD Essence website.
Jeff Yauck is the co-founder of Purekana! If that hasn’t got your attention then maybe the story behind Purekana will. Jeff and his partner, started Purekana with an investment of just $18,000. From that, they used $5,000 to purchase inventory, including CBD gummies, oils, and lotions. In the beginning, the operation was very modest.
